Thanksgiving is in 2 days guys!!! Happy thanksgiving! I’m super excited for a family filled weekend. With all this Covid stuff going on this year… I am just more than ready for the holidays, and I bet some of you are too.
This is a different holiday for me because as a performer, you are usually working when everyone else is on holiday breaks. So this year, I get to spend the holidays with family and loved ones.
So let’s talk thanksgiving… What are you thankful for this year?
This crazy year, I’ve been thankful to make fitness a priority in my daily life. I’ve discovered how much happier, and stronger it makes me feel when I dance. I wish I would have started this 10 years ago, but better late than never. That is why my weekly tip is…
*Physical fitness is not just for parents and body builders
As dancers we are athletes + Artists… So even though the studios close due to Covid or even summer break, does not mean that we can’t continue to make ourselves better.
It is my goal to do something to better myself every day and I encourage you to do the same.
Fitness doesn’t only mean going to the gym, you can also do pilates to strengthen your core and hip flexors, or yoga to work flexibility. And if you want a buddy, you can always join your mom for the most recent video workout in the living room.
Remember, even though things are closed now, they won’t be closed forever… where do you want to be when this is all over.
Do you want to be back at square one? Where you’ve lost flexibility, strength, and stamina?
Or are you going to be the one who comes out ahead?
