“Hey friends! Welcome to Dance Tips with Brittany!

I’m a professional dancer, competition judge, and competitive dance trainer out of orlando and I am here to share some things with you, I wish I had known when I was your age. 

So let’s go!

I want to start today with a correction that changed my life!

I had a very serious sway back. How many of you hear the corrections, booty under, tummy in, squeeze your core??

I know that was me too! Every class, and I tried to focus on it but I could never understand squeeze your tummy. Squeeze my tummy?? You try then you can’t breathe anymore, am I right? 

Then one day it clicked when someone told me to squeeze my BOOTY! And now I live by this rule! 

Here is why…

When you squeeze your butt cheeks together, it activates the lower abdominals! Try it! I promise it works! 

When you squeeze your booty, it tucks in line and flattens the stomach. And voila! You can still breathe while you dance. 

So when you hear someone say tummy in or squeeze your core… think about squeezing your booty. It is a drastic change you can actually see in the mirror.
